AAEON, your embedded solution provider, announces two brand-new Panel PCs, the APC-8152 and APC-8172. The APC-8152 and APC-8172 support the same specification, but have different screen sizes with 15" and 17" respectively. The APC-8152/APC-8172 is the first Pentium® 4 industrial board in the AAEON Panel PC production line. It also features a PGA478 socket that can accommodate Pentium® 4 and Celeron® Processors, supporting FSB up to 400/533MHz.

Based on the Intel Pentium 4 platform, the APC-8152/APC-8172 is the best choice for high speed computing; simulation or control; and multimedia applications, because it provides multiple functions such as 15" color TFT LCD, digital I/O, audio and Ethernet etc. In addition, the APC-8152/APC-8172 supports 5 USB2.0, mini-PCI, and two PCI slots. With flexible expansion, users get easy access to solutions ranging from modems, storage, sound cards, SCSI cards, and audio/video capture cards wireless LAN modules, to Bluetooth modules. For customers whose application is variable and changeable, APC-8152/APC-8172 reserves more flexibility for future expansion. Besides, the APC-8152/APC-8172 provides more CPU options for different applications; hence users can choose Pentium® 4 processors up to 3.06GHz for high performance applications. Most Pentium® 4 Level processors are suitable for the APC-8152.

With DDR DRAM up to 1GB, 4X AGP, and 5.1 channel audio outputs, the APC8152/8172 can provide the strongest multimedia function. It can be broadly implemented in several markets, for example, automobile, machinery, petrochemical or food & drug, point of sale, point of information (KIOSK), and game markets.

The APC-8152/APC-8172 is available starting from July 16th, 2004.
